Merry EASTER!

FLUFFY DUCKS!

Did I get your attention? I hope so! By the way that had nothing to do with my blog, I just wanted to SHOUT fluffy ducks because it's random!

Last weekend, my good friend all the way from New Zealand came to hangout with me for the weekend (like actual just the weekend, cray cray!). Well, He didn't come all that way just for the weekend (that would of been silly). He was just a few hours away from NYC working for the week, and made the best decision He will ever make (lol) to come to the Big Apple (by the way knowone says the big apple).
So as you all know it was Easter, Merry Easter everyone or Happy Easter (whichever one you prefer). My Family left on the Friday for their Vacation and I was ready to hit up the city for the weekend with the one and only Hadleigh (friend from New Zealand). We met up, went shopping, I tripped up a lot, embarrassed Him, it was a good time!!
That night we got all dressed all fancy and made our way to this amazing restaurant that was 48 floors high. It was called The View because you can see all of NYC, and slowly the whole floor rotates so you have a different view every time, it was incredibubble!
(The view from the restaurant).

Now I'm not used to going into fancy restaurants, so the whole time I'm trying to act fancy (that worked well 😜). I was laughing, and trying not to be loud, then I was waving my carrots around when I was talking, and my friend goes to me 'stop waving your carrots round' (best statement). Let me tell ya it was a HOOT! Such a great experience!

Saturday was full of adventure! We went to the sea, space and air museum which is pritty much a lot of old school planes and spaceships on an aircraft (apparently it's really famous). For a girl it was actually quite cool, although I would of liked to sit in the planes and imagine that I'm flying and make loud plane noises (mostly cause I want to embarrass my friend).
This is a plane I believe...
This one was my favourite though (can't remember what it is, apparently it's famous?)
This is the first space shuttle. It's huge! gutts I couldn't go inside.
Oh yess I finally found something I could sit on and play, it was such fun!
This was on top of the Aircraft. As you can see it is massive and this is only half of the ship, so many planes!

And..
Oh there it is!!
This is a super yacht that I was more interested in just staring at for long periods of time, then looking round the museum. It was so SHINY! It WILL be mine one day (lol keep dreaming).

We were very hungry so we decided to leave the museum and go get a hot dog (which was gross). We hopped on a water taxi which was so much fun to see New York from the water. So PRETTY!
We tried to go to the 9/11 memorial which we couldn't get in because it was packed (kinda sucked), but we walked around it and could see abit of it.
This is the 9/11 building it is really pretty.

We then got back onto the water taxi and it took us round to see Statue of Liberty and then back to the start.
We were exhausted after all the walking and site seeing and tripping over that it was time to rest!

I said goodbye to Hadleigh and I went to Hillsong's Easter Service.
All in all it was a great weekend! It was very strange to be hanging out IN New York with a friend FROM New Zealand (couldn't quite get my head round that).

Keep loving life!

I ❤️ NYC

Best weekend ever people! It was Friday night and I was feeling alright (lol so cheesy). My friend and I headed to the city for some hardcore dancing! We had our tickets, our twerk pants on and we were ready to get jiggy (Sorry not sorry).
The night that I thought was gonna be easy breezy turned out to be a ball of frustration. So you had to have tickets to get into the club and we all had ours except you have to print tickets out which I did but my two friends did not and they had guest passes, which means you had to get into the club before 12am!
We only got into town by 11pm which meant we had an hour. So we walked to the club all excited and ready to dance. Except they wouldn't let my friends in unless they print off the tickets. So now it's about 11.15pm, we walked down the road to a Walgreens (kinda like a supermarket) and asked if they had a printer, they said no. So we hurried to Duane reade (another small supermarket) and yes they had a place where you can print photos (yesss). The person that was helping us, got the right leads for my friends phones and the tickets were uploaded on the machine everything was going perfect, we could get to the club before 12am no problem. It was now 11.45. We went to the counter and the guy went to print off the tickets and of course the system just HAD to crash, so he said 'sorry guys but we can't print off your tickets' (are you SERIOUS!!) we just wasted half an hour and they couldn't print (just terrible). We ran back to Walgreens and asked them if they had computers that print off photos and yes they did. So we ran upstairs, went to the computers and they were all turned off (oh come on people!). It literally took 15mins for them to turn on and they were the slowest computers ever (frustrating much). It was past 12 now which meant we probably would not beable to get in. But we were determined to at least try! So we walked confidently (as you do) up to the club guys and explained what happened and OH MY GOSH we finally got in!! We danced all night until about 4am (I know shocking but that's very normal for New Yorkers) where we decided to leave, until we got to our train and it was out of service (awesome). So we had to take a very long detour home which meant I got home very late (arghh).

The Saturday me and my friends went to Americas Got Talent Auditions. Oh my gosh it was so exciting and a lot of fun! And no I did not audition but if I did I would of twerked as my talent, which I would of been booed of the stage cause I'm that good!! (By the way someone did twerk as their talent, best thing EVER!).

Oh yea by the way we got free tickets and were in the second row right behind the judges, which meant we were on camera the whole time (say WHAT?!) come out in June so make sure you watch and spot me lel. It was very exhausting because we had to always be smiling, couldnt talk, clapping, booing and if someone stood up then we all had to stand up. 3 and a half hours long doing all that with no break and my friends and I didn't have lunch so we were starving!! (We silly)
Mel B and her child everyone!

It's always a good time!

Longtime no blog (woops)

Longtime no blog friends, but that doesn't mean I havnt been thinking about you beautiful people!
The past week has been full of adventures and flossy times that I have not had a good sit down to write all about it (my bad)! So get ready for a very long blog full of Goodness, HOLLA!! (Ain't  no holla back girl) felt like singing that lol.

Let's start from last Saturday, March 22nd. I had breakfast with my 3 good friends where we laughed ate crossants and bagels and of course twerked (just a little though). We then had inspiration to go to the mall and buy some clothes. An hour later  no new clothes we were all in a depressed state and tired from finding absolutely nothing. Why is it that when you are wanting clothes you don't find anything that you like or you can't find the particular thing you want, oh girl problems!

On Sunday I went to Church then met up with 2 of my friends and we sat in a Starbucks for probably two hours laughing about squirrels in New York (very strange I know)! We then walked to Hard Rock Cafe in timesquare to have some dinner. It is such a cool place
I was pritty impressed with the guitar wall they had!

So we all were ordering burgers and there was one that said cheeseburger and It didn't say that it had meat in it so I asked the waiter "does you cheeseburger come with meat in it?" The waiter looked at me with a 'are you serious look' and was like "umm it's a burger" I'm  like "so it doesn't come with just cheese?" Seriously what is wrong with me that is probably one of the most silliest things I've ever said (Well some may say otherwise, Melissa?) and yes I got mocked for that the whole night and will never live that one down (NYC making me cray cray).

Monday - Thursday was great I worked, wet to the gym and went to my fashion class. Here's a picture of a building in my school (school is to big to take a photo of it all).
Very cool, it's like a castle!

Anywho most of you know that it was my birthday on Thursday (well Wednesday your time lol). Thanks everyone for the love on Facebook and viber I had a great day! I received flowers from my awesome brother and sister in law which was such a great surprise!

Also got to open a package from my parents and got a card from my gran which was just lovely. And the Facebook love from all you beautiful people means a lot!!
That night me and my friends celebrates and went to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert which was great, the place sang happy birthday to me and I got to blow out a candle, it was such a beautiful thing!

It will be a birthday to remember plus I am now in my 2's which is crazy!! I'm 20!! (I would of liked to be 19 forever but I guess you got to grow old).

Saturday was a very active day which I absolutely loved! I went into the city for a dance class, it felt so good to dance! Then I met up with some friends and we walked for ages to find a place to have lunch. Also it was raining hardcore, my feet were drowning! After we had lunch and walked, we went to a yoga class which was tiring (yoga is actually hard).

Sunday was a booming day! Church was so goooooddd. Dilerious the band were doing the worship it was such a great and powerful  service!

Well that's me for now. I promise I won't leave it this long again!
Have a good one guys :)

'It's always a good time'

Kinechiwa, talofa, hola, Weiss, polina, gidday, sakamuchi, tamborino, hello, kiaora!

Yes friends it is always a good time! Here in NYC life just keeps on booming, people are calling, and st pattys weekend  well, let's just say everyone was green!

On Saturday I went to a dance class (finally) and the people were great (I really wanted to take over and teach though, maybe next time lol). The class is called dance for change and what they do is they get different choreographers every week and do different dance styles every week and you pay $10 per class and the money goes into charities around New York to support them in what they are doing. It's great to do something you love but also helping change peoples lives (oh such a beautiful thing!)

Then I took the subway to go back to Grand Central and I hopped on the wrong train and started going the opposite direction! Oh, let me tell ya it was stressful, because my friends were waiting for me and I couldn't txt them because you don't get service in the subway and the people smelled so bad (it was probably me cause I was sweaty), arghh it was cray, cray!! And an hour and a half later I finally got back to Grand Centeal after taking a few subways (winning!).

I finally met up with my friends and we walked around and talked in Irish since it was st pattys weekend. I do the best Irish accent haha.. (yea not really) my friends were like 'you sound like an Indian?' Seriously when ever I do accents why do they sound like an Indian (maybe il marry an Indian.. Hmm yeah, nah).
I was about to go to my vocal lesson when me and my friends were at McDonald's charging our phones and I was trying to go over the song I was doing for my vocal lesson which was 'hallelujah' and so I start to sing like 2secs of it and a few minutes later a random lady comes over and says 'hi can I record you singing?' I'm like 'huh no! What why?!' She goes 'I just record cool things that I hear.' It was very awkward but I agreed and said 'sure'. As she started recording my friend couldn't contain her laughter (and you all know that when someone laughs I laugh). So I'm singing but laughing at the same time, so it totally screwed up the whole video, and now my friend has had to leave because she is laughing so hard she's got tears coming out of her eyes (I don't know where else her tears would come from)! So there you have it I was nearly famous, I mean she could have been Beyoncé in disguise and I ruined it!

These are my friends, they are such fun!

The next day I picked my friend up and we drove half an hour to get to a mall, we were so excited to do a big shopping spree and apparently this mall is meant to be awesome ... But it was lame cause we couldn't afford any of the clothes (one of those rich malls).

So we went and got food at the Cheesecake Factory which was an experience of awesomeness! Then decided to find a walmart to buy car phone charges because both our phones had died which meant we couldn't get home lol.
So we went round and round in circles until we decided to pull into a car park which apparently led to a mall, great!!  So we found a place to buy car charges but I thought, you know let's just buy it on the way back to the car (great idea). We were in H&M for a few minutes and all of a sudden a robot comes on saying 'THE MALL IS CLOSED NOW' so we were like oh no the phone charger! Dropped the clothes we had in our hand and walked briskly (didn't run cause people might have thought a BOMB) to the shop and yes they were closed! We then drove around to find a McDonalds to charge our phones and that failed! I was like stuff it lets just find our own home, and we did (oh yeah). Although I did have to stop at a petrol station and get directions and found out we were going the opposite direction to home yay 😢!

But I now have a car charger for my phone, so I will never be lost, yesss!!

And that's the end of that friends so catch ya on the flip side ✌️!

P.S sorry for any content that may have come across abit racist and some languages I have made up or misspelled, I'm just tring to get cultural. No hate! Peace and love to the world.

1 month gone, 11 to go!

Not that I'm counting, but it's crazy that it is 1 month already! It's gone so fast but at the same time it feels like I've been here for like 2 months, cray cray!

Any who I met up with 2 girls from England who are aupairs, so now I know 2 aupairs who speak the same language as me (I speak English by the way, not  Indian) so YAY I have friends that understand what I am saying!

So that night I went to the city and met up with the English girls and 2 other girls and had a awesome night! We went to a rooftop lounge where you take a lift to the 20th floor and your on the rooftop and you can see all of NYC lights (beautiful thing). And Because it's cold they give you red robes with hoods to wear. And yes everyone was wearing them and yes it did look abit like a cult (but it was awesome).
This is the view, incredible right?!

Sunday I had a great day! I went to church with my connect group leader (she's pritty cool). Brian Houston preached and it was a great message. I also loved being in the new building, I actually had a seat and could see the stage (hareruya!!). She introduced me to heaps of people (sorry, no cute guys lol). We then went to the famous photography store which was incredible they had everything. I sneakily took this photo of the canon lenses for my sister-in-law, and for you canon loving people.
But they have walls of all different camera brands it's crazy!

Yesterday we had our first Cluster meeting which is all the aupairs living close to each other get together and do something fun. So we went to a cafe which was good fun. The cluster leader who organizes it told them that I am a dance teacher, so nek minit they are all like 'omg, teach me' 'I want to learn how to twerk' (know one really said that but I know they were thinking it). So I will be doing some dance lessons soon, yay can't wait to get back into that! Boom boom clap!

Anywho keep loving life people.

A whole lotta fail

In my blog I don't want to just tell you all the great things about what I am experiencing and doing, I also want to give you abit of realness. Because in reality there will always be moments when you feel down or have had enough of what you do and you just want to crawl into a ball and hide in your cupboard (imagine it, so funny). Now last week was a crazy week! I got lost driving to pick up one of the girls from somewhere, so the dad had to rush out and get her (fail). I was late dropping the girls of to piano (fail). And a whole bunch of other fails! Then on Friday I was in my room and was walking to the hallway to go downstairs, I don't know what happened but all of a Sudden I was falling down the stairs, I tried to catch my self on the bar but instead it made my body turn so I was going head first. I then hit the bottom and stopped (thank goodness) it hurt ALOT! My first reaction was crying then I started laughing and 3rd reaction was 'man I wish someone videoed that, it would of looked so funny.' Then I thought 'know wonder why people don't stop when they fall down the stairs, it's really hard to make yourself stop.' (Random thought). Here's a pic of the stairs, so you can imagine me falling.

And that day was when it all hit me. I can't just txt one of my friends to see what they are doing or see my family everyday (that was emotional lol). And let me tell you, that moment is when you feel so lonely all you wanna do is talk to close friends and hangout with them but you live so far away. If you ever feel like this then ring your parents they Just make you feel so much better and tell people how you are feeling, don't bottle it up because you will burst one day, like in a shop and you just start crying (dude, that's weird).

Anyway let's get back to the fun!
So Saturday I went into the city with a friend and we went to m&m world and found this guy. (So good looking).
Then went to Chicago the musical OMG!! It was amazing!! They were so good, but the guys pants were way to tight round the bum (just saying).

I tried to go to church the next day and couldn't find the new church building. I walked for ages (mostly in macys), I then got to tired and cold so gave up and went and brought some boots. (Good story)

Walk, walk, walk

HELLO EVERYBODY!! Ohhh yeahhh, I hope everyone had a good weekend cause I did!
I met up with an Aupair on Saturday and we went to the city where we walked down 5th avenue and acted like we were rich (nah not really). We walked nearly the whole of 5th avenue, now let me tell you that is long! My feet were so sore all I wanted was for someone to piggy back me (that sounds weird) but it's true they hurt that much!
But we were determined to find Time Square (it's very easy to get lost in NYC).

We finally found it and by now it was dark (it was only 5pm people). There were people EVERYWHERE it was crazy but awesome at the same time! We had dinner at TGIF's (oh so good) and then walked round again for ages.
Photo taken in time square.

On Sunday I went driving, it was so nervraking driving on the opposite side of the car and opposite side of the road. Seriously every time a car went passed I leaned my body to the right cause it felt like they were gonna hit me. Even the indicators are on the opposite side, I tried to indicate and the window wipers kept going on I'm like freaking out! But besides all that I was a good driver 😻.

After all that craziness, I went into town with two girls and we did some more walking (yay) #sarcasm. We walked over the Brooklyn bridge which was so pretty, the view was amazing, I took so many photos but with me in them cause it just made the photo look so much better, I mean you take me out of the photo and it just looks boring (haha what am I saying).
Anyway most of you would of seen a photo of me doing the hair flick and most of you wouldn't or even know what it is, so let me explain.. You put your right leg forward, you flick your hair to the front (just like your head banging) and flick your hair to the back and you do it to upbeat music and do it to the beat, then you have the krystal flick!
Some more photos of me and NYC

After we walked for a longtime, I went to church for the 7pm service which was so awesome! It was packed and it was the university service so there were so many people who were my age which was great. I met some girls who go to Parsons college, I was like oh my gosh that is so cool ( parsons college is a fashion college it's amazing!) Anyway they gave out free water (yes!) and we sat on the ground it was crazily packed! Anywho I want to know what you did in the weekend like if you did something crazy fun or you twerked or you jumped of a rock, just anything email me or reply back.
Follow me on Instagram hehe
