Rhode Island woop!

Last week I travelled to Rhode Island which is about 2hours away from NYC. My family have a summer house (Bach) there. It is great! 10mins away from the beach and it really reminds me of back home. It is beautiful!!
The first thing we really did was go crabbing and yes I caught pretty much all the crabs (I'm a professional crabber.. If that's even a thing). At the end we just threw them back into the water, I mean what's up with that? We should at least eat them or chuck them at each other, but no (I'm to immature to be the nanny)!

Michella (11yr old) and I decided to go on a bike ride and as we were biking I was like 'yo let's double' she goes 'what will we do with my bike though' I go 'oh yeah we can put it on the  back of my bike' (I had one of those things on the back that you can tie stuff to it.. Probably not for another bike but, hey). Anyway so long story short it ended bad and I now have a massive bruise on my leg (nice look for the beach!). An idea that I thought was great that really failed!!

The beach is awesome! There are lifeguards that can save me when I drown (good looking ones to), an arcade where me and the kids went and played some fun games, a water park, go carts, cafés to buy food (really good food!) and the sea to swim in of course.
Thought this cow was cute.. Has nothing to do with this blog lol.

On Saturday night we all went to a pizza restaurant (so good!). And that's when I shared with the whole family that I've been nominated for the ice challenge (not a good idea). So the whole time, Michella is putting ice down my top, I'm getting ice chucked at me and I'm like guys we are in a restaurant and they go it's fine we are just starting the ice challenge now (Awesome, shouldn't of said anything).

It was an awesome week but I did miss my New York friends a lot! I have just been back in New York for a week and now I'm on a train heading to Boston to meet up with a good friend from my hometown (cause we run the world. Siri says I'm Beyoncé).

So catch y'all on the flip side!

4th July weekend 🇺🇸

My whole family went away for the weekend so I had the house to myself (party?! Nah I would get deported).
So as everyone knows, on Friday it was July 4th which is Americas Independence Day (boom). It was a beautiful thing, people were out celebrating by watching the soccer (the USA weren't even playing..but ohk.. Go Germany!!)
Me and three of my friends found a burger place and ate burgers for dinner they were really good and mine were tiny (so cute)!

We then headed to the Brooklyn bridge to watch the massive fireworks. There were so many people and so many cops around telling us where to go to see the fireworks on this bridge, and the cops kept yelling 'keep moving' and we got our bags checked for you know.. bombs I guess. And we were following all these people up on this bridge and it felt like we were in one of those movies, that you know has a virus in the city and everyone has to leave and some people are getting left behind cause they have the virus etc, oh cray cray!

The fireworks were amazing!! Check it out ..

On Saturday my good friend Rachel came to mine and I made pancakes and bacon (seriously the best). Then we went to the malls had a look around did some shopping and laughed a lot (like always). For dinner we had McDonald's (of all places) and parked up in this random park (didn't know where we were lol).
After we got fat we went to the cinemas and watched Tammy (GREAT movie!).

On Sunday I headed out to tarry town which is still in New York somewhere, and went to see my other good friend all the way from NZ, Kristie, yay!!
(I like our facials)
She's doing nannying as well and living in Boston, so not to far away from me. It was great to catch up with her and have weird conversations again (love her!). Can't wait to have weekend trips to Boston!

It was a great weekend and I'm now chilling at a beach (even better).

Hope y'all had a great 4th of July and are happy to be an American or a New Zealander or German which ever floats ya boat!

I ain't no touristy.

Here I am everyone, sorry it's been so long but I've been busy with the kids as they finished school for the year (yay I don't have to make lunches for like 2 months!). I am very excited to go away with the kids and spend more time with them, it's gonna be a great holiday!!

Any who, so not the weekend just been, but the weekend before was a very relaxed, chilled weekend. I stayed at my friends house, watched movies, ate a lot of ice cream and tanned outside. We didn't go into the city the whole weekend.. Well mostly cause I didn't want to spend money on the train, but it turned out to be one of the best weekends! The moment you feel like you ain't no tourist anymore, is the moment you can just chill at home in NY (it's a beautiful thing!).

Now this weekend just been was great! I went and watched 22 jump street, oh WOW! I haven't laughed like that in the movies in a longtime, it was hilarious!! Then Saturday my friend and I went shopping and then headed to a Jamaican lady's 50th party, and yes we were the only white people there, got quite awkward cause everyone would just stare at us, I think they thought we were party crashers, but we weren't or were we?!.. In the end It was a lot of fun and the music was great so reggae!

Sunday we went to the city and watched the gay pride parade (all I can say is Weow).
Didn't get any good photos, but this float is orange is the new black cast dancing on it (for those of you who know what I'm talking about).

My new obsession is Starbucks mocha Frappes (oh so good!!)
Then we headed to church. It was awesome like always! And I met this guy from London who knows a guy that I know who lives in London which was CRAZY!! The world is so big but really it's so small lol.

Last night I headed to the city to watch my girls piano recital. It was good but oh my gosh soo boring! After that we went to dinner to this diner where the waitresses sang songs off broadway it was a great experience, the whole diner was singing along to the songs which was really cool!
Alrighty have a great week everyone!

Peace out.

My favourite place

Hello my beautiful people!!
Well it's been another great week full of great times.
Friday night I went to the city with my friend who lives just down the block from me. We had a good night, this was our view.. Empire State Building everyone!

Saturday I met up with a new Aupair in Union Square. Which is officially my favourite spot to chill and people watch (that's not weird..is it?). Anyway it's just such a cool area! There's a square (obviously) where people sit and there is always something going on, like people dancing in the square and people entertaining. There's also great thrift stores around the area (Reminds me of Takaka.. Lol not really!). So we sat in the square and there was a bubble party (I know, random!) people actually came and blew bubbles hilerious!! In New York there's a parade for everything (literally).
You can't see the bubbles, but this is how big the crowd was just casually blowing bubbles!

Then we watched these cool cats do tricks and jumps on their longboards (pretty extreme, don't try it at home kids).

Then OMG!! I headed to one of the most amazing dance classes I have ever taken! To be honest I was really nervous and wasn't actually going to go because I hadn't danced in a while, but then I thought how can I miss a great opportunity to be taught by one of the most amazing dancers in the world, who has choreographed for Beyoncé, Chris Brown, lil mama (remember G-slide? he choreographed it. Such a good song!) etc. Of course I HAD to go!
It was a 2 hour class and some people nearly fainted because it was sooo hot and was a very intense dance class. But I LOVED it!!
Here's Hollywood and I, very sweaty after dance class (yuk)!!
His t-shirt was soaking wet of sweat that's how hot it was!!

Sunday I went to Church and caught up with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while. We had lunch and then I walked down to union square (favourite place), well.. actually took the subway cause that would of been a long walk! I walked around and went into Sephora (a big makeup place) and just stared at all the different makeup.. Yep that's what I do! I would love to be the person that owns that store (oh sigh).
I then was sitting in the square watching these two girls dance, then noticed that they were actually filming and they needed a crowd. So I, of course got in there (wid all dat swag, well I looked like a hippie, but that will do). So we had to act excited and was dancing etc was fun, until a homeless guy (oh bless him), decides to dance in front of the camera (ruined it!).
I decided to go check out this other church which was cool, met some new people.
After that I headed to Grand Central and walked the whole from 14th street to 42nd street. With my music in my ears, I was just loving life, as you can see here..
I just had to take a selfie, it had to be done!

Anyway in better news.. This piece of Chocolate (looks gross)
is the last piece of New Zealand chocolate and I'm going to eat it right NOW, so need some more ASAP (in the mail would be good, preferably Old Gold 70%) wow just ate it and so satisfied!!

So lessons we learned throughout this blog..
1. Don't let opportunities pass you by, just go for it!
2. Make new friends that like you
3. People watch (it's not creepy)
4.Give people chocolate that live away (ahem...me)

Hope you've enjoyed. Peace out!

Island of Coney

Woop woop CONEY ISLAND!!

Yes people that's right! on a very sunny Saturday my friends and I, (these beautiful ones)

Decided to hop on the Subway and travel an hour from the city, which only costed $2.50 (cheap as chips ow) and got to our destination CONEY ISLAND!!

There's like little carnival theme parks, shops, Nathan's Hot Dogs (place where you buy hot dogs and all that bad food) and also the beach!

Oh the beach was so nice! We stayed there the whole time and lay in the sand, did some people watching (as you do) and tanned. Well I didn't take my togs (that was a mistake) so I tanned in my bra.. Yep.. Awkward.

After the Island of Coney we went into Brooklyn, and WOW that was a mission because there were roadworks so the train wasn't stopping where we needed to get off. So we asked for directions and this guy was going to where we needed to go, so we followed this man (it was like 4D google maps, so easy). Got to the place after taking like 3 trains, then walked round circles for a bit (good one google maps) and finally made it to this restaurant where we met up with another friend to spend our last night with Him as He is off to Italy to nanny for abit (so cool!).

Anyway peace out!

Chelkanator and I hit up NYC!

Last week I had a visit from the Chelkanator. She came all the way from New Zealand for a week and I got to show her round my area, where I showed her the cool coffee shop named slave to the grind (seriously such a cool name) and the local mall. It was awesome hanging with another New Zealander who understands what 'togs' 'heaps' 'boom' and a whole lot of other New Zealand words that people not from NZ do not understand. People try to tell me that it is wrong English well.. no it's not, we just use different words but it means the same thing because we swag!
Anyway so I showed my hood to Chelk.
Then Friday night I came to her hood where she was staying. We went out to dinner to a really cool Thai place where we sat outside (pritty much on the footpath). Our table was abit wobbly which was annoying, so after we ate our green bean thingys (can't remember the special name but it was something like Gagame or agame?) chelk decided to put a whole bunch under one of the legs of the table so it would not wobble (she is a smart one), probably very disgusting but it did the trick!

After dinner we went and saw Xmen. Now I fully recommend this movie it was awesome!!
On Saturday we slept for ages but Definately could of slept more, the bed was just so comfy! We finally got up and went and met Chelks friends for brunch which was great cause one of them was from Blenheim of all places (little place in New Zealand).
We then left them and went to Central Park and got a frozen yogaurt (yum!). I said goodbye to Chelk and I went back home and went and watched Maleficent (another movie I highly recommend you seeing).

Oh yeah! Sunday I went to a Yankees Game with my friends. Let me just say Baseball is quite boring (was 3hours long, nearly died.. Not really) but we were way up the top of the stadium, so the game was a little spec and we couldn't see the big screen (cheap seats). We decided to move seats like close to the game finishing and it was a much better view. But the experiance was great! The Yankees stadium was really cool!
You have to have a pretzel while watching Baseball, just Gold!

So there you go! It's been very warm lately so I've been swimming a lot, thank goodness for pools!

Wolfpack Roadtrip

What a weekend! As you all know I went to Canada for the weekend with my friends (aka the wolfpack) and we had a blast! We left Friday at 11pm in our luxurious Chrysler mini van. You know you got to ride in style when doing a roadtrip, especially when you drive about 19 hours the whole weekend.
It was 6 hours to Montreal so we had our snacks and of course I had my M&Ms (best things invented).
We made it to Canada safely and found a place to have breakfast. First selfie of the trip excited about being in Canada.
We drove around for about an hour to find a hotel, finally we found one and we dropped our stuff off and went and looked around the city. It was an okay place but not somewhere I would go again. The city's first language was French so we were going round speaking French (well trying to). At night we got dressed up and went out for dinner at this Greek place that sold Italian food and had live French music (very cultural lol). We then went and hungout at a bar which was great fun then went dancing!
The coolest thing in montreal was probably these swings all along the street and they light up at night (so fluffy)!

Sunday morning we travelled another 6 hours to Toronto, by now we are over tired and very very hypo so we laughed at anything and said and did the most hilerious things, those of you who know me you can just imagine how cray cray I was (out of control).
We got into our hotel, chilled out for abit then walked to the CN tower which is a very tall tower, I think it's like the tallest tower or something (hmm I should of read about it).

So we got up there and the view was amazing and we watched the sun go down was beautiful.
I thought this photo was pritty artistic - maybe I could be a photographer...
Some of us lying on glass windows where you can see all the way to the bottom, was quite freaky!
Me standing on the glass looking down, Made me feel abit sick it's so high up arghh!

After dinner we walked round and found this guy...
I really wanted a shoulder ride (so weird).

We were so sleep deprived that we decided we were characters off Dora the Explorer, so I was Diego and one of my friends was the map which the whole time walking round she was singing 'I'm the map, I'm the map...' Yes people that is how tired we were, we had officially gone crazy!

In the morning we travelled to Niagara Falls woohoo!! The place was so beautiful, there was the town then Niagara Falls right beside it.
We found a bear!!

We had lunch there and it was so hot but I got a tan (that's all that matters lol).

We decided to leave and travel all the way back to New York (another 7hours).
I took this photo from the USA of Canada.  So strange that you can be in another country and take a photo of another country.

We all got through the border fine, although we did have backup plans if we couldn't get back into the USA. Mine was to go back and hangout with the bear for a few more hours and yep that's all I had.
As we were driving on the highway this car changes into our lane in front of us and slams on his brakes which made us have to slam on ours and all you could see was smoke, we were so close to hitting him (but thank goodness we didn't). The car just sped away so fast, we couldn't believe the person just did that, we were all in shock! Big ups to our amazing driver she has some great reflexes lol!

We got home at 2.30am safely. I would have to say it was one of the best weekends, made some great memories and laughed a heck of a lot! My friends are the bomb!
