Walk, walk, walk

HELLO EVERYBODY!! Ohhh yeahhh, I hope everyone had a good weekend cause I did! 

I met up with an Aupair on Saturday and we went to the city where we walked down 5th avenue and acted like we were rich (nah not really). We walked nearly the whole of 5th avenue, now let me tell you that is long! My feet were so sore all I wanted was for someone to piggy back me (that sounds weird) but it's true they hurt that much! 

But we were determined to find Time Square (it's very easy to get lost in NYC). 

We finally found it and by now it was dark (it was only 5pm people). There were people EVERYWHERE it was crazy but awesome at the same time! We had dinner at TGIF's (oh so good) and then walked round again for ages.

On Sunday I went driving, it was so nervraking driving on the opposite side of the car and opposite side of the road. Seriously every time a car went passed I leaned my body to the right cause it felt like they were gonna hit me. Even the indicators are on the opposite side, I tried to indicate and the window wipers kept going on I'm like freaking out! But besides all that I was a good driver 😻.

After all that craziness, I went into town with two girls and we did some more walking (yay) #sarcasm. We walked over the Brooklyn bridge which was so pretty, the view was amazing, I took so many photos but with me in them cause it just made the photo look so much better, I mean you take me out of the photo and it just looks boring (haha what am I saying). 

Anyway most of you would of seen a photo of me doing the hair flick and most of you wouldn't or even know what it is, so let me explain.. You put your right leg forward, you flick your hair to the front (just like your head banging) and flick your hair to the back and you do it to upbeat music and do it to the beat, then you have the krystal flick!

After we walked for a longtime, I went to church for the 7pm service which was so awesome! It was packed and it was the university service so there were so many people who were my age which was great. I met some girls who go to Parsons college, I was like oh my gosh that is so cool ( parsons college is a fashion college it's amazing!) Anyway they gave out free water (yes!) and we sat on the ground it was crazily packed! Anywho I want to know what you did in the weekend like if you did something crazy fun or you twerked or you jumped of a rock, just anything email me or reply back.

This is my job? No way.

This week has been my first week of working, it has been awesome! One of the kids who is 11 didn't have school this week so we got to hang all week (so I pritty much get paid to hangout with the kids, oh and do some chores). 

I would tell you what I did on Monday but hmm I can't remember (short-term memory loss). And Tuesday well yea... 

On Wednesday though me and Michella (who is the 11yr old) and the dog walked down to the little village in our suburb which has got a bank, salon, a pharmacy and some other shops that aren't all that interesting. Anyway I needed to go to the bank so we got in their tried to open an account but I had left I.d at home. So we walked all the way home and it was raining so we got soaked (imagine that raining and snow ha!) we dropped the dog off, grabbed I.D and decided to bike down cause it will be quicker. So we got the bikes out started riding them and BOTH bikes had one flat tyre, but we rode them anyway. Halfway there Michella was riding really slow I asked why and she said her brakes don't work (okayyyy flat tyres, no brakes, snow/ice and rain calls for a great combination). We finally got to the bank (and wait for it..) They gave us FREE HOT COCO!! (I love free stuff). Good ending!

The next day me and Michella went to the movies. We saw the Lego movie and it was actually really good and funny (you should see it). We got there, got our popcorn and got to choose our own seats (oh yeah!)

OMG that night I cooked the best dinner ever!! I'm pritty sure I am a natural born cooker. I am so proud! I'm gonna show you a photo so you may get hungry.

BAM! It's a open steak sandwhich. The steak is cooked perfect (the kids said it was incredible).And yes those are strawberries you see in the salad. Trust me it is the best thing in a salad, try it.

A week already!

Wow, today it is a week since I have been living in New York (that went fast). 

We have had 2 snow storms, so the kids have been of school ever since I got to the house, which is great because I have already bonded with them really well! 

I have taught them how to dance, they have taught me how to chearlead and throw people in the air (literally!). 

On Sunday I took the train into grand central, it is massive, there are so many different train tracks, it is cray cray!

I then took the subway to Hillsong at Irving plaza. I lined up and they came around with free hot chocolates and cookies (oh how I love free food). When we got inside I went upstairs and there were just couches (very comfy) but I couldn't see the stage at all because there were so many people standing.

That was a great experience! And no I didn't see justin beiber. Maybe LeCrae, maybe not ..

After Church I went and met up with another Aupair and we went to forever 21 in Times Square. Oh my gosh! It has 4 levels!!! You could spend hours in there trying clothes on that you can't afford, it's great! 

Then we went to Hot Yoga. Now I have never done hot yoga so I thought that it was just really intense yoga. I didn't realize the word 'hot' meant it's in a room that is HOT! So I walk in and I am already sweating. I don't know how I did an hour in that room, but let me tell you it felt good when I was done. 

That night I took a little train ride to meet up with another Aupair for dinner (don't worry I did have a shower). It was freezing and it took me forever to find the Starbucks where she was waiting for me (forever meaning 5mins but it feels like forever when you are freezing).

We ate our Pad Thai which was incredible, but massive and only $12. love ittttt!! 

I thought I would take a photo with the dog because I didn't take any photos of any places I mentioned. that is all!

New York, New York

 I have been in New York now for 2 days with about 100 Au Pairs from all around the world for what they call orientation (which is quite boring exspecially when you are jet lagged) at a beautiful hotel called double tree hotel. 

When I hopped of the plane and walked outside the JFK airport ohh my gosh it was beautiful there was snow everywhere but I felt like my face was going to freeze off, it was that cold!

Last night a few of us went on a tour into the city - there were big bright billboards everywhere, bright lights everywhere and people everywhere it was amazing!! And soo many yellow taxis. 

There is a big snow storm coming tonight so everyone is leaving a day early (thank goodness). So I am now waiting for my host parents to pick me up, ekkk I'm abit nervous 😸 (I couldn't find a nervous face so I just chose a cat). 

At the start of my tour I got 1 photo from the top of the Rockefeller centre looking out to all of NYC and then my phone died :(. So here it is, It's a long way down!

Start of my big adventure!

As I am sitting in the Auckland airport listening to Beyoncé and getting my swag on waiting to board my plane to LA, I think to myself HOW incredibubble this is! I have already taken 2 flights to get to Auckland (I know 2 flights just to get to Auckland cray cray). Then I will be taking 2 more where I will get to my final destination NEW YORK holla!!! 

As you can see by the picture I am very excited to watch as much movies As I can and eat all the airplane food they offer me!

Anywho just a quick post from me.
